Application process:

Application Process: To become a Certified Safety Manager, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, complete the required training and experience, and pass a comprehensive exam. The eligibility requirements for the CSM certification program include: A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience A minimum of three years of professional experience in occupational health and safety management Completion of a CSM training program offered by an approved trainer center After meeting the eligibility requirements, candidates must submit an application for the certification program, which includes a detailed work history, education and training information, and references. Once the application is approved, candidates can register for the exam..

Exam and Recertifcation:

Exam and Recertification: The CSM exam is a comprehensive exam that covers all 12 learning domains. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, and candidates have four hours to complete the exam. To pass the exam, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70%. After passing the exam, candidates are awarded the Certified Safety Manager credential, which is valid for three years. To maintain the certification, certified safety managers must complete continuing education and professional development activities and pass a recertification exam every three years. The recertification exam covers the same 12 learning domains as the initial certification exam.
